Further Ikea constructions.
.. and then off to the off-licence for sustenance. Penfold's Bin 28 for £12 (ca $20)

A better look at Wandsworth Town Hall. Love the garbage bin in the foyer.

and the final Ikea addition.

Off to Wokingham tomorrow to stay overnight with Susie and Andy, then, at last, a game of golf on Friday while Cathy has lunch in town with Susie and Bea (Chris's fiance).

Another day

John went off to Edinburgh for work, so the rest of us had dinner in Soho, then off to Tower Hill via ....

.. the old Bank of England in Threadneedle Street ( now, sadly, a swanky bar and restaurant)

... and then to the Tower for the Keys ceremony. (We weren't allowed to photograph this).

A slight Danish hangover

The day after Ikea, and we begin to assemble. As photographer, Cathy does not appear in this stage, but she worked hard all day.

The new workbench. Peter (O'L) need not look too closely at the quality of work.

Respite, and off to London (as against Putney) to see Liberty's ...

... and Carnaby Street .......

...and even more Carnaby Street. Cathy relinquished the camera to wallow in 60's nostalgia

A Danish Sunday

On Sunday, Claire and John suggested a fun day at Epping. No, not Epping forest with green glades and deer, but IKEA at Epping. Arrived ca 9.30 and left at 5.30, laden with all sorts of things to assemble. It was great.

This is not the pub we had a beer in, but very similar, and the beer was identical.

At last, home to Mayfield Mansions .........................

......... to begin unloading. At about this time, it dawned on us that Claire and John were off to work tomorrow, and all this Ikea stuff ..........

Shopping#2

In Bond Street. Notice that Georg Jensen's upstages the bride.

In Saville Row, on the way to pick up John's suit. cathy was struck by the tradesman's entrance to Hardy Ames.

Paul providing a baseline for the clothes to wear in Saville Row.

No.1 Saville Row. Apparently Nelson had his uniforms made here. Bit flash

Shopping

Saturday morning. Off for a ride around Richmond Park. Didn't take the camera, so missed photos of thousands of deer stampeding across the roads (chased by crocodiles??)

In town on Sat.arvo, walked past this little restaurant. Nobu. Cathy says it's ranked no.2 in the world.

Karl, if you enlarge and rotate, you may be able to work out their menu. We expect a lot of reverse engineering when we get back to Brunswick.

Cathy happened to drop in to Georg Jensen to buy Janet's wedding present. After this, she refused to carry her gear in the Safeways bag, but carried everything discreetly, as shown.
