More and more Provence

This is an abbey, built in 1206.
This is an abbey cat, not to be confused with a tabby cat. Again, refer this to Boa.
 The chapel.
 The cloister.
 The spire.
 Une arc en ciel
We were invited to a boules et apero night with some neighbours. The girls thrashed the boys, but ..... (excuses, excuses, excuses)
A traffic jam was caused by this donkey refusing to get up the kerb.
 More sunglasses
Success. The ass being led away in defeat.
This is me in the act of phoning Claire in the market. I said 'Pardon' when she ran into me.

Another day, another ride.

Yet another day in Provence

The lolling phase of Lissy's day.
Time for a conversation
She sat up in the bath last night! (With a bit of support). We have plans for guards on the stairs, etc. She appears to be very advanced.
Sorry. This ones's a bit repetetive, but I couldn't resist it.
Cathy and I went for a drive - Cathy at the wheel - and we came to this bridge .........
..... which was a bit narrow.
 Intrepid Cathy proceeded anyway ......
..... with a calmness that could only be described.
I'm fairly sure this is planta genesta. Henry II's father started wearing this, hence the Plantagenets.
At the 'waterfall' on the other side of that narrow bridge. Cascades, actually, but quite spectacular

The warning signs said that there were "30 casualties"/"30 morts"/"30 drownings" in these cascades, so best not to swim. The water was full of Frenchmen, determined to improve the statistics.

Lunch in Guardargue.
Waiting for lunch in .....
Tableside entertainment in Guardargue

Cathy was interested in the large log in the restaurant. (In the background!!!!)

Round and about

Au le coin de Velo, picking up our hire bikes. Mr. Phillipe gave us a great welcome, remembering les Anglais from last year.
Lissy looks more alert each day, and has now started to laugh out loud.
Adam finally has some cycling gear. He has joined the 'velo fashionista' group.

Lunch at the bistro in Vaison la Romaine
 Lissy just hangin' around
Even though it's cooler this year, then sun is still very bright, and the girls must wear their shades.
You can add your own caption for this one. No prizes, but general acclaim to the winner.
About to set off on a ride.
Another ride, this time for Team bookgrocer. Adam claimed he had to wear the maillot jaune.
I think this is a burping session, in the middle of a feed.
A very proud dad.
Cathy had a simple salad for lunch at this bistro. The pastry ravioli things are full of potato!
Guess who ordered this.
Cathy on a walk through the village.
Et aussi.
This one's for Boa.  A very still Vinsobres cat.

a Vinsobres

On the road to Vinsobres, a cote de le pont d'Avignon
Is that a Mirage? This must be a desert.
Val with Lissy-clothes
Dinner at the village bistro.
Lissy has our old bedroom, and we've moved to the other side of the house. Now we see Mt Ventoux, and a lot of very old French people.
Lissy and Daddy
Lunch at Val's. If we're not eating out, it's salad, ham, pate and bread, with a nice rose.
Lissy and Mummy.
We went to Dave and Kath's wedding anniversary party. They live a few doors away, in the village.
Feeding time. This seems to be Lissy's main pastime, although she is developing a penchant for singing Gilbert and Sullivan. (Well, humming along anyway)
Dave, Trevor and me at the party.
Val and Kath.
Jan (English), Fred (Swiss), Ruth (Swiss) and Bob (English)
Val and Dave.
The actual dinner party for Kath and Dave's 46th anniversary.
Lissy and Adam.
Lavender fields and vineyards in the hills above Vinsobres.
Same view, but with a forward obstruction.
