Swimming

Lissy said she wanted to go swimming, so off we went to St Paul au Trois Chateaux. She looks a little doubtful.

 Daddy allayed her fears, however.
Then mummy and grandad got ready for the plunge
The water was ominously warm, but when you considered the number of babies in the water, perhaps understandable.
 ..... mmmmmmmm
 ... it's not bad, really
 Careful, grannie!
 That's better

In the end, I think she enjoyed the day. We've put her down for the 2024 Olympics team.

Bastile Day celebrations

Vinsobres celebrates Bastile Day on the 13th, with a pistou (bean soup), steak and ice cream feast in the salle de fete. Serves of the pistou are plentiful, and the 14th July is always a very windy day in Vinsobres.
The guy in black is a Parisean journalist. On the right is Adam, and Jan and Bob from Hertfordshire.
 More locals at the feast.

And more
Trevor looking uncharacteristically affirmative.
M. le organiseur, organising.
In the best traditions of Australian cricket matches, Dave decided to build and ice-cream tower.
Kath looks on in disbelief.

We began to think that his ambitions outranked his abilities ......
... until he anchored the ultimate (wet) ice cream container with a lighted bulb. The expected explosion and subsequent blowing of all the fuses did not take place. French electricity is SO weak
Cathy and Val's enthusiasm could only be described.
