And More New York

Lovely homes in the quieter streets
The inner courtyard of the Frick Museum (just before Cathy was informed that photography was not allowed)

Outside the Guggenheim ..

... and inside. This amazing art gallery has paintings on the walls of an ascending spiral, and other galleries branch off from the spiral as you go up.

.
Considering the noise and crowds and traffic, these leafy streets are almost unbelievable.

The Chrysler building. Someone told us that the view looking straight down on this building is an exact replica of a 1937 Chrysler petrol tank cap. So there.

Dinner at Union Square. The waitress was a real charmer, and prevailed on the chef to produce fish and chips for Erik (not on the menu) and a plate of broccoli for Oskar.

The curtain at the Sondheim Theatre, just before: a) it rose and the show began, and b) they told Cathy that photography was not allowed.

On the way home from the theatre.

View from our balcony looking up Madison Ave. ....

... and down it.

  1. Did Jen make Oskar eat his ice cream before he got the broccoli?

    Did you tip the waitress?

    I love the Frick!
