Further gastronomic rumblings

Beers and ciders in Cesky Krumlov

Dinner that night. Bifsteak with a pink sauce and three black apostrophes.

What a meanie!

Someone claimed that this was a healthy fruit dessert.

More Czech food .....

... which Pierre apparently enjoyed

Something completely different. (Cathy made me put this in)

Some healthy German salads .....

.... and Cathy's Kaiserschmaren.
 N
Not afters - just dreams

Paul-aner-beer. (German joke)

Schnitzel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Cathy only had this for mains ......

... so she could finish off with something like this.

First night in Epernay (French food at last!) and I ordered pasta. IT CAME WITH A RAW EGG!!!

Anne had raw salmon

and the girls just kept on dreaming.

This was breakfast somewhere, I think.

Dinner at Bofinger. First l'huitres.
I wanted to order 8 of them (for the alliteration) but they only came in 6's or 12's)
puis le sausicon avec sauerkraut.
The company voted this the best creme brulee in France.
This was the most depressing creme brulee in France.

A gastronomic retrospective I

In response to many requests (well, one mild enquiry) we include some of the food that Cathy and Anne ate on their way around Europe. The paella here, of course, we found in London.

Dinner at the Prince of Wales Pub, Putney.

Breakfast at Bill's, Putney High Street

This, of course, is something completely different.
Cathy might appear to be legless but she hadn't drunk a thing!

Hampton Court Palace ice cream

Anne making an impression on Hungarian coffee drinkers

Various Hungarian foods

The obligatory morning coffee ....

... and beer. Although this may have been morning tea.

Flat Hungarian biscuits

Asparagus (or are they chips?)

We didn't eat here, but the name was evocative.

Q. Why are Austrians fat?

Luckily we left soon after this offering on Katnerstarsse.

A final Viennese coffee
