Duo Terre

Homer goes on about 'the wine-dark sea' but the phrase had no meaning until now. The Mediterranean really is a deep, deep purple colour. This photo is as closed as I could get to it.

We set out for the second village, Manarolla, along the cliff path.

Some of the houses are precariously placed. Not a town to own a skateboard.

Or a boat. We watched the locals launching their boat for an afternoon's outing. What an operation.
