Sunset, Day 1.
The cooks.
Tuesday morning, approaching Lake Eyre North.
The mouth of Cooper Creek. The Cooper is flowing all the way to the lagoon in the middle distance, then stops at a sandbank on the edge of Lake Eyre,
The following photos show the Warburton River entering Lake Eyre. Because the lake is only 60% full, the Warburton Groove (the channel cut by the river into the lake bed) is visible. The Groove goes for about 40 km. The thin blue line at the top of the picture below is the Groove.
