Outback #3

Leaving Birdsville

The country north of Birdsville is amazingly green

The Channel country

More Channel country

Longreach. Cathy in a DC3

Brolgas at the Stockman's Hall of Fame

Cathy teaching the brolgas to dance (reminds you of Anne, doesn't it?)

Bonnie & Bonnie and Clyde & Clyde

The Cobb and Co team.

On a paddle steamer on the Thomson river. Boat Captain's joke: "The Thomson is the cleanest river in Australia - there's no 'P' in it."

The Thomson at dusk.

The ONLY two kangaroos we saw, in over 3000 km of Outback.

The influence of the river on the desert. Green for a few km on either side of the river.

At the Dig Tree. Just after we arrived, another light plane flew in, and the pilot was Andrew Ellis, the son of the owner of our old bridge club. We've known him for years.

Cooper Creek at the Dig Tree

Pelicans.

We thought they were nice until a flight went past, 500 ft higher than we were. (We were at 4500 ft!)

Leaving for Innaminka
