a Ventoux

Coffee and pain au raisin at Alice's, in the village .....

.... and then off on another ride.

It really is a beautiful village.

Built on a steep hill with great views. Sadly, you have two choices when cycling - climb (steeply) out of the village, or climb (even more steeply) back to the village at the end. HOWEVER, we ask for no sympathy.

The lavender is great this year

A traffic jam in Vinsobres.

Dave, a lovely neighbour, complaining that someone has to do all the work.

Lavender fields.

A roundabout near Venterol, with a cork theme.

Following the Tour route to Ventoux, we came across this tree. I don't know why, we just did

Le Tour is coming!!

It was 34 degrees, so we drove up the mountain, and stopped for lunch when it got to 27 degrees. At the top, it was 17 degrees, but again I expect no sympathy.

Le Mont Ventoux.
Unfortunately in the following photos, we neglected to get shots of our bikes.

We went up the mountain on Tuesday. Le Tour goes up next Sunday, and already there were many campervans in place. They were often parked in the most desolate of places,
