Getting there and Day 1

Wednesday night - young and hopeful at the First Class desk

Thursday night in line at the Service desk

Friday morning at Jack and Daisy's for breakfast. Still in Melbourne!
So we decided to postpone Etihad until later in the year and went Air Malaysia.
At last waiting for the taxi at the home gate.

While not the actual plane, this aircraft has the exact shape as the A380 we caught from KL to London

Cathy silhouetted against the 777 we flew to KL

KL International airport enduring a 3 hour stop-over plus a 2 hour delay
At the bottom of the steps on the 380
At last, at Olveston. The following sequence sort of captures the moment(s).

We could then get down to some serious grand-parenting and nursery rhyme singing.
... and reading

.... where is that bloody Green sheep?
Cathy is in a difficult position - she is officially the blog photographer, but she also has to hold Lissy. The following photos show the executive decision Cathy made about this.

In case you missed it, the 'creme brulee' theme of this blog has been changed!

  3. Well done with the daily blog. Thanks. Now about the creme brûlée. . . . . . . . It may be difficult to take photos and nurse Lissy, but with practice you will be able to eat creme brûlée with Lissy on you knee. XXXXXXX
