Budapest to Vienna

Our last breakfast in Budapest, and the sign from Down Under beckoned.

Cathy was strangely attracted to the Fitness Menu .....

... so there we were ......

... rewarded by a smile.

I would have bought this, Tony, but we were out of HUF.

Hungarian macho seat covers

And at last the railway station.

Circle the wagons again. The boys are foraging.

Cathy thought the engine's name was ominous but at least it's not as wussy as Thomas.

The engine did look Hungarian, though.

So off we set for Vienna, BUT the Danube intervened (literally) and we were thrown off in Tatabanya, where we were put on the bus to Gyor. Sorry to drag you all through these familiar old towns, but we had to go there, so so should you!
Anne struggling across the rails ....

..... fighting for a bus seat ....

... and ending up waiting in the gutter.

Some Hungarian (or are they Austrian) windmills

Happily back on an Austrian train.

and eventually into Wien Middling. "How did you like Wien?"   "Oh, Middling" (Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.)

After a taxi ride, beer at the Hotel Cristal.

Someone beat you to Austria, kids.

i don't know why - Cathy just has this thing about sauerkraut.

  1. All the seat covers need is a face above them.

Bombardier make the Lear Jet. C&P can you get 10% on that? (said he bitterly)

    the sauerkraut looks revolting
