Vienna to Cesky Krumlov

Breakfasted, packed, and we decided to catch the tram to where the hire car was.

I don't care! We didn't want to hinausstrecken anyway. (Sorry Claire, you can translate if you want).

Oskar! A Viennese kindergarten.

There was a flaw in my map, and three trams later, we approached the car place.

Thought of buying one of these for you, Tony, but the excess baggage cost was prohibitive.

The required coffee and strudel, at the Aida coffee house, near the Opera.

At last, Europcar.

And literally, our Skoda Europcar

Peter only brought 2 pairs of pyjamas this time, but we still had a space problem.

Anne fought hard to get all three billygoats in this paddock together (apparently some kindergarten song), but two of them wouldn't oblige.

Many paddocks full of solar panels. Clever.

Old border crossing - Austria into the Czeck Republic. At this point, all Czech jokes - **mate, cross**,    bouncing **, **out, etc, should be discarded.

At our Penzion in Cesky Krumlov.

Karl, why did this sign remind me of you?

The roofs of C-K.

First stop - a beer.

I can't remember what this silliness in the town square was about.

A beautiful bywater.

And a tower.

The girls on the bridge below the castle.

  1. I can't open the pictures of Salzburg. I hope you will do a Sound of Music Tour!

Cesky Krumlov. When you said you were going there did anyone ask why?

    Why?

I have now read about it and it sounds terrific. It has the second largest castle in the republic.

The penzione looked a bit grimm. Was there a tale perhaps?

I see Cathy still has the blue hat. It will last no doubt until the halcyon days to come in the Home of Peace!
