Vienna - The rest of Day 1

A little bit of Viennese culture

More.

Anne: "I really like using the U-Bahn", and then .........!

"Well, I think we should go this way."

We happened across the Vienna gay parade, and met some new friends.

Anne and Cathy loved the rainbow tram.

And suddenly there was Motzart.
 .
and to balance things, an  Aussie pub. We rushed in for a Tooheys Old (not available!) and the Rugby results (not worth listening to)

The family influence continues

Anne said she'd like to have a go on this ride. (Her nose grew even longer)

!

After dinner, off to Karlskirk to hear Motzart's Requiem. As you can see, the church was a bit overdone.

but very beautiful outside.

As we came out, a French party was being held. All in white, with Edith Piaf (or a near relative) singing, and dancing and an accordion, and everything!

Anne wanted gelato, but didn't want to pay for it.

Once more down into the void.

Cathy was fascinated by the hooks embedded in the subway roof. Anyone know what they're for?

  1. Does Anne live in a little hut in the forest and is her controller called Geppeto?

I'm jealous of you seeing even a statue of the great man and to hear Requiem is one of my dreams. Perhaps in Salszburg or Hallstatt.

Did Anne get her gelato. I'm interested in the consideration she gave for it. As you all know, consideration has to move from the promisor to the promissee. (or is it the other way round)
