Another day in Paris

Apparently this guy specialises in crook knees. Apparently that's why I'm smiling.

Oh, oh! On the way to Canal St Martin, we happened on this elephant, and of course ....

Hopscotch. Bah! to crook knees. (They carried me onto the boat after this).

Anne giving a geography lesson. She thinks she lives somewhere near Kempsey.

Another bloody pachyderm, which Anne decided to "ride". Houd-at!

Tell me, why would you want to anchor there?

Under the bridge(s) of Paris.

Encore.

Notre Dame from the Seine.

On the Canal. Bastile column in the distance.

The Canal has 1.8 km of tunnel, with holes in the roof opening into a park.

This is one of the holes.

Approaching a lock.

The family influence is everywhere.

Three tourists in a boat.

Somewhere in Italy there is a statue of a little boy in a fountain, who has lost his spout. Here it is!

Deep in the 10th, we spotted Clouseau .....

... and madame Clouseau!!

Slack French shop.

Dinner.

  1. This is my last post. My earlier comments in respect of Anne and elephants should be construed in that context (with respect)

Did you glimpse Jean Valjean at all? He may have swum past, or was he confined to sewers.

Are you sure the little boy wasn't behind the wall?

    What was Insp. Clouseau doing?

It is clear what Madame Clouseau was! Checking her police pass

    Italian fare again!
